2025NZ Report Week 03 (ニュージーランド中期留学レポート 03)
ニュージーランドは現在、夏の終わりが近づいています。様々なイベントを経験したり、日本との違いに気づいたりする中で、少しずつ留学生徒たちの成長を感じることができます。

Student A
Over the past three weeks, I've gotten quite used to life in New Zealand. I've learned to ask the teacher if I don't understand something in class. I sometimes regret not being able to express what I want to say even though I understand what's being said, or being too timid to say it, so I'd like to fix that. The biggest difference from Japan over the three weeks is that I was surprised at how relaxed schools are about punctuality.
(この三週間を通して自分はかなりニュージーランドでの生活に慣れてきました。授業中にわからない所があったら先生に聞きに行くことを覚えました。話していることはわかるけど自分の言いたいことが伝わらなかったり、臆病になって伝えずにいたりすることに後悔することがあるのでそれを治したいです。三週間を通して日本との一番の違いは、学校も時間にルーズなことが多いのがびっくりしました。)
Student B
This week I was bedridden with a fever. Maybe the fatigue is catching up to me after three weeks. I took Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday off, and I had fun plans packed into all of them, so it was really disappointing. I wanted to go to the shoppi ng mall, do a field trip with the international students, and do outdoor activities. It’s really sad. But I managed to recover by the weekend and went to a sunflower field with my host family. It was a great change of pace and really fun. I want t o be healthy next week!
(今週は熱があって寝込んでいました。3週間も疲れが溜まっているのかもしれません。水曜日、木曜日、金曜日と休みを取ったのですが、どれも楽しい予定がぎっしり詰まっていたので、本当に残念です。ショッピングモールに行ったり、留学生とフィールドトリップに行ったり、アウトドアアクティビティをしたりしたかったので、本当に残念です。でも、週末にはなんとか回復し、ホストファミリーと一緒にひまわり畑に行きました。いい気分転換になって、本当に楽しかったです。来週は元気に過ごしたいです！)
Student C
On Tuesday, 10th February, Athletic Day was held at Nga Puna Wai. It's a special day where we participate wearing our house colors. As the dress code was our house colors, I went shopping over the weekend for purple items ? the color of my house, CLAVER ? and went all out in purple! Both teachers and pupils took part in unique costumes, and it was great fun just seeing everyone's outfits ? sharks, sumo wrestlers, vegetables, fairies, and more. The events included several classic house relays, a staff versus students relay, relays by Ako Class, a tug-of-war between staff and Year 13 students, long jump, wellie throwing, sack races, cornhole, shot put, 100m sprint, and an egg and spoon race. CLAVER won every event except the staff relay!
Every event was hugely exciting, making for a thoroughly enjoyable day!
(2月10日(火曜日)には、Nga Puna WaiでAthletic Dayが行われました。自分たちの所属するハウスカラーを身に着けて参加する特別な日です。服装は自分たちのハウスカラーということで、私の所属するCLAVERのハウスカラーである紫のものを週末買いに行き、全身紫で行きました！先生方も生徒の皆さんも、ユニークな衣装で参加しており、サメやお相撲さん、野菜や妖精など、みんなの衣装を見るだけでも楽しかったです。競技種目は、王道のハウス対抗リレーが数回、先生対生徒のリレー、Ako Classご とのリレー、先生対Year13の生徒の綱引き、走り幅跳び、長靴投げ、袋飛び競争、コーンホール、砲丸投げ、100m走、卵とスプーン競争がありました。先生対抗リレー以外は、すべてCLAVERが優勝しました！どの協議もとても盛り上がり、充実した一日を過ごすことができました！)
