Field of Study
The Department aims to cultivate students who can master special knowledge and skills in the fields of health, medicine, welfare, food, and psychology, as a core study of nutrition science, and who can apply the knowledge and skills when working in society. Students are expected to understand the current problems local communities are facing, to work towards solving them, and finally to contribute to local people’s health recovery and health promotion. As a specialist of health and nutrition, students are expected to have a personal interest in the importance of nutrition in daily life and a motivation to develop dietary patterns, as well as a concern for understanding other people’s health-related behavior.
The Department aims to cultivate students who are able to engage in activities such as nutrition management at hospitals, nursing care facilities, governmental organizations, and food service companies. Therefore, the Department aims to cultivate students who are able to gain the qualification of managerial dietician.
